Conasorb® sound absorption materials are normally porous in structure and when faced, have a membrane which absorbs sound reverberant energy. Commonly, these are made from plain or faced foams or fibers. Blachford's Conasorb® is made up of a broad line of products which integrate the latest technology to provide tuned absorption to address targeted frequencies from a noise source. The key is understanding the application and then selecting the correct material or system. When choosing an absorber, some properties which should be taken into consideration are sound absorption requirements, thickness, resistance to heat and chemicals, flammability, abrasion resistance, thermal insulation, moldability and cost.
Our engineers are available to help customers choose the right solution for their application them. Beyond traditional foams, Blachford has introduced new fibers, facings and spaced absorbers which are more heat and flame resistant than traditional materials, while being more cost effective. Conasorb® absorbers are designed to reduce noise in engine compartments, generator sets, enclosures, truck and tractor cabs, as well as office and medical equipment.
