Dedicated to managing and recycling metalworking fluids, this new Blachford division offers services ranging from will-call or scheduled small-volume on-site recycling, to large-volume daily recycling. With Fluid Recycling Services, personnel take care of all aspects of fluid management.
This environmental service is well suited to plants disposing of at least 1000 gallons of fluids or more each month, and handle coolants, cleaners, machining and grinding fluids, and lubricating and cutting oils.
Fluid recycling can eliminate fluid disposal and coolant replacement costs and other wasted resources, improve and maintain consistent quality of fluids, conserve capital dollars, and help you focus on your core productive activities, not on fluid handling.
The recycling process begins with the removal of heavy tramp oils and other large contaminants. Then, pasteurization and chemical additives remove microorganisms. Remaining tramp oil and fines are removed by passing the fluid through a series of filters, strainers, and a high-speed centrifuge. Finally, fluids are tested against predetermined standards, and any required adjustments are made. You now have clean, fully effective fluid, treated with biocide and appropriate additives, and a detailed fluid analysis report.
