 Acoustic Materials
Blachford brings you over 40 years of superior noise control solutions from the most advanced testing facilities available.
We design and produce simple and complex laminates in various shapes, thickness and weights, all of which are based on three types of noise control materials: sound barriers, sound absorbers and vibration dampers. We provide customers with everything from custom-engineered rolls and diecuts to molded and cast-in-place materials.
Typical applications include: floor systems, dash and front of dash barriers and composites, engine tunnels, HVAC and interior trim panels. Further information and guidelines for use can be found in Guidelines and Applications.
The Blachford Acoustics Laboratory, features a hemi-anechoic room with a dynamometer for testing heavy trucks and large vehicles or machines.
Blachford also custom-manufactures a wide range of OEM rubber and carpet floor covering systems for commercial vehicles. Manufactured in our plant in King's Mountain, NC, these materials are constructed with a variety of thermal and acoustical insulation components.
