 Sound Barriers
We manufacture a wide range of sound barriers that are sold in the form of rolls, sheets, molded parts, and both die cut and water jet cut parts.
Our barriers are sold under the registered trademarks Barymat®, Barycast® and BMat.
Our Barymat barriers are made from PVC, and when moldability or low smoke emission is required, from EVA.
Our Barycast barriers are cast-in-place molded parts made from thermoset polyurethane elastomer. Frequently, we mold a polyurethane foam layer to the inside of the elastomer part to act as a decoupler and thereby enhance noise barrier properties.
When choosing a barrier, some properties which should be taken into consideration are: thickness, density, stiffness, resistance to heat and chemicals, flammability, tear strength, abrasion resistance, thermal insulation, moldability and cost.
