Developing New Products
Customers want noise and sound quality built into the design of the products they make instead of having to add unexpected, costly materials after the product design has been completed. The Blachford Acoustics Laboratory has features that will help predict much of the acoustical environment early in the design phase and BEFORE a prototype has been built. Material engineers works with PhD chemists to develop and/or bring in the latest in acoustical and thermal materials.
If the need for an acoustical treatment is determined, materials can be integrated into the design and, sometimes into the componentry of the product. Weight and cost are thereby kept to a minimum.
